Tom Fischer to ELDONA - Replace the Fraudulent Translations with the KJV

Subject: Please use King James Bible

ELDONA please use King James Bible.

NKJV changes Christ's last will and testament in Holy communion into a Calvinistic covenant.

NKJV teaches false doctrine, corrupts the true Word of God and is fraudulent in many places especially the words of institution.  KJV says testament. Luther's Bible says testament. The Greek Textus Receptus says testament. Even the corrupt and fraudulent Nestle Aland says testament.

John 5:4 - Various Translations

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool and troubled the water. Whosoever then first stepped in, after the troubling of the water, was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
for an angel of the Lord went down into the pool at appointed seasons and stirred up the water; the first one to go in after the water was stirred was healed of his disease.]
For an angel of the Lord went down at appointed seasons into the pool and moved and stirred up the water; whoever then first, after the stirring up of the water, stepped in was cured of whatever disease with which he was afflicted.

Many sick, blind, lame, and paralyzed people were lying close to the pool.
For an angel descended at a certain season in the pool and troubled the water. Whoever therefore first went in after the troubling of the water became well, whatever disease he laboured under.]
And an angel of the Lord descended at certain times into the pond; and the water was moved. And he that went down first into the pond after the motion of the water, was made whole, of whatsoever infirmity he lay under.
For an angel would go down at certain times into the pool and stir up the water. Whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was healed of whatever disease he had.

At certain times an angel of the Lord would go down into the pool and stir up the water, and whoever stepped in first after the stirring of the water was healed of whatever disease he had.
Some time later came one of the Jewish feast-days and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. There is in Jerusalem near the sheep-gate a pool surrounded by five arches, which has the Hebrew name of Bethzatha (the Pool of Bethesda). Under these arches a great many sick people were in the habit of lying; some of them were blind, some lame, and some had withered limbs. (They used to wait there for the “moving of the water”, for at certain times an angel used to come down into the pool and disturb the water, and then the first person who stepped into the water after the disturbance would be healed of whatever he was suffering from.) One particular man had been there ill for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there on his back—knowing that he had been like that for a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to get well again?”

Soon another Feast came around and Jesus was back in Jerusalem. Near the Sheep Gate in Jerusalem there was a pool, in Hebrew called Bethesda, with five alcoves. Hundreds of sick people—blind, crippled, paralyzed—were in these alcoves. One man had been an invalid there for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him stretched out by the pool and knew how long he had been there, he said, “Do you want to get well?”

Here a great number of disabled people used to lie down. Among them were those who were blind, those who could not walk, and those who could hardly move.

Hymn - I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord

"I Love Thy Kingdom, Lord"
by Timothy Dwight, 1752-1817

1. I love Thy kingdom, Lord,
The house of Thine abode,
The Church our blest Redeemer saved
With His own precious blood.

2. I love Thy Church, O God,
Her walls before Thee stand,
Dear as the apple of Thine eye
And graven on Thy hand.

3. Should I with scoffers join
Her altars to abuse?
No! Better far my tongue were dumb,
My hand its skill should lose.

4. For her my tears shall fall,
For her my prayers ascend,
To her my cares and toils be given
Till toils and cares shall end.

5. Beyond my highest joy
I prize her heavenly ways
Her sweet communion, solemn vows,
Her hymns of love and praise.

6. Jesus, Thou Friend Divine,
Our Savior and our King,
Thy hand from every snare and foe
Shall great deliverance bring.

7. Sure as Thy truth shall last,
To Zion shall be given
The brightest glories earth can yield
And brighter bliss of heaven.

Hymn #462
The Lutheran Hymnal
Text: Psalm 137
Author: Timothy Dwight, 1800, ab., alt.
Composer: Aaron Williams, 1770
Tune: "St. Thomas"

Timothy Dwight was the eighth president of Yale.

"Timothy Dwight is one of the renowned names in early American History. Dwight was born in Northampton Massachusetts, on May 14, 1752. His grandfather was Jonathan Edwards on his mother’s side. At the age of 17, he graduated from Yale College. For a time he served as a chaplain with George Washington in the American Revolutionary War. After the war he served as a minister, representative of Connecticut State Legislature, faculty member and in 1795 the College’s President. While he was there, he raised the academic standards and brought a spiritual emphasis to the campus. Before that, the students at Yale had been influenced by Rousseau and the French Revolutionary ideals. It was thought that there were less than ten Christians on campus. His leadership brought a spiritual revival which spread to other parts of New England college campuses." https://www.hymnal.net/en/hymn/h/853

The Fear and the Rainstorm

One seminary student was about to graduate. He was filled with dread about all the things he was supposed to do. He listed them all. I went through my mental check list as I read it. Only one thing was missing - preaching and teaching faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

The farmer at the dinner table said, "We need rain." I was aching to say, "I'm in sales, not management." It reminded me of the installation of an ELS pastor. The air was so heavy with thunderstorm implications that I said to Christina before the service, "Lightning and rains during the sermon."

During the sermon, lightning began flashing with thunder breaking loose, sometimes far, sometimes directly over our heads. I was up front, robed, so I had a chance to look at her for every thunderclap. How many husbands have a chance to say, "I was right! I was right! I was right! I was right!" I did not miss a boom, crash, or explosion of energy.

One person said afterwards, during the reception, "That is a million-dollar storm."

On the way home from Minnesota, rain began to fall in stingy amounts, then more and more until the traffic added its own fog of tossed rain into the air. A McDonalds worker said, "We need that rain. The lawns are burning up." I added, "Not to mention the crops."

Did anyone say, "The rain will not have any results at all"? No. Nor did anyone suggest buying something that really worked in Hoboken and that gimmick would surely work everywhere if used the right way. They knew in Minnesota and Iowa that they needed rain, not a sprinkle, not a cloud-burst, but a good old-fashioned gulley washer.

"Please do not ask me about Gasoline - or anything else."

When someone quotes "Lord, Liar, Lunatic," I know he favors two out of three.

God is so patient with us that He established the parable (to stretch the term) of the snow and rain coming down, always having a three-fold effect, attaching that fact of Creation to the Word of God. Like the rain and snow, God's Word will

  1. Never return to Him void;
  2. Always accomplish His purpose;
  3. Prosper His will.

Isaiah 53:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10 For as (1) the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but (2) watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that (3) it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: (1) it shall not return unto me void, but (2) it shall accomplish that which I please, and (3) it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The entire Bible is filled with references and paraphrases about the effectiveness of the Word, the work of the Holy Spirit always effective through the Word. Remember that nitwit teaching Universalism to the LCMS youth? "Everyone! Everyone!" He put his adverb - always - in the wrong place. The Word of God is always effective, and nothing else is. Nothing! Nothing!

Nothing makes me more suspicious than a Universalist videotaping himself in front of 300 unread theology books. Borgwart is not the only one.

So put down your worn Fuller-Willow Creek-Church Growth manuals.

HERE I STAND SOCKS. Clearance price, CPH. Is this when you knew it was all over for Matt the Fatt?

The manuals are why the LCMS-ELCA-ELS-WELS-CLC-ELDONA fail so spectacularly. They would likely buy expensive umbrellas to jump out of airplanes, because they heard that works.

So I came home from my 1,400 mile round-trip north, finding the gardens at home watered but still wilting in the 105 degree days. Rain is coming soon, and I know exactly what will happen.

Is this not a bonk-on-head reminder for all Gospel churches, all faithful congregations? We have a self-imposed drought - NOT RELYING ON GOD'S WORD - purchased for millions of dollars, cleverly exploited by apostates waving their magic wands and pocketing their commissions:

  • Waldo Werning
  • David Valleskey
  • Paul Calvin Kelm
  • Lawrence Otto-B Retired Olson
  • And many more.
When David Valleskey, Fuller student (depending on the audience) said we should use the treasures of Fuller Seminary, much like the Exodus escape, I said to the Ohio Conference group - "They stole the gold and precious gems, not the garbage." Valleskey became visibly angry. The entire (tiny and shrinking) conference shunned me from that moment on. The Word is indeed effective.

Tim Glende - WELS - Gets Another Call.
Has Uncle Brug Lost His Clout?

Glende's first call in Illinois led to him selling off a debt-free congregation and leaving an almost-built coffee bar church, so he erased two church buildings in only a few years. So WELS sent him to one of their biggest congregations.

You might say Glende's very first church is orthodox, Eastern Orthodox now.

Glende and Ski actually wore these bibs when traveling to see the great Mark Driscoll, another church wrecker.

 Isn't it rich?
Isn't it queer?

Where are the clowns?
There ought to be clowns
Well, maybe next year.

Don't you love a farce?

My fault, I fear

I thought that you'd want what I want

Sorry my dear.

But where are the clowns?

Send in the clowns

Don't bother

They're here.

Love Comes in Many Forms - The First Fruit of the Spirit

A wedding is always a great experience. Four of us (three MDivs) went in a Jeep, though not the same model - Nellybelle- Roy Rogers drove.

Without faith in the Savior, there is no love. Faith is the access to grace. Jesus -

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Forgiveness comes through faith, and access to grace means husband and wife live in forgiveness and love, the fruit of forgiveness of sin.

Sixth Sunday After Trinity

Lord God, heavenly Father, we confess that we are poor, wretched sinners, and that there is no good in us, our hearts, flesh and blood being so corrupted by sin, that we never in this life can be without sinful lust and concupiscence; therefore we beseech Thee, dear Father, forgive us these sins, and let Thy Holy Spirit so cleanse our hearts that we may desire and love Thy word, abide by it, and thus by Thy grace be forever saved; through our Lord Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who liveth and reigneth with Thee and the Holy Ghost, one true God, world without end. Amen.

KJV Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

KJV Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; 24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. 25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison. 26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.

The Righteousness of the Pharisees

KJV Matthew 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

There are two ways to understand this verse, but only one is correct.
1. The wrong way - Someone can jump to the conclusion that the Pharisees were the ultimate in righteousness and that Jesus' followers had to be even more righteous.
2. The right way - ironic and more pointed. The Pharisees, in depending on works of the Law, had no genuine righteousness, so anyone who believed in Jesus definitely exceeded the works-righteousness of the Pharisees. The righteousness of faith in the Savior is key to this passage.

Background - Unity of the One Book of the Holy Spirit

The so-called scholarly world has tried to pit one passage of the Bible against another, leaving people in as much confusion as the professors have. Note that the most important Gospel - for clarifying the entire message - is the Gospel of John, which most of the modernists dismiss as coming from other sources and 300 years after Christ. That would make the Fourth Gospel a series of deceptions. The truth is that Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John have a remarkable harmony and unity, because the working force behind each one - and them all - is the Holy Spirit.

That applies to the entire Bible - as the foundation. The Scriptures are that unified Truth. Luther knew Medieval dogma well, but he did not start with that, but only illustrated it to show how wrong the Pope was. Luther could see how all the Biblical books and verses fit together - and support each other - with one goal from God for us - to teach us faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior and Good Shepherd.

Dogma books are not a good foundation, no matter how good they are, because dogma tries to make a system out of a unity already present. Why not show that unity by comparing verses rather than current or past authors?

A book confessing the Faith is not at all the same as dogmatics books. The Book of Concord confesses the truth of the Scriptures and is really a one-volume book about the Bible.

Organizations make a poor foundation, because they establish norms and those rules become their bible, their origin, their incontestable law. Willow Creek in Chicago (where we went and heard Hybels speak on these verses) was monstrously big and yet opposed to showing the cross anywhere. Hybels and the entire staff had to quit and admit their very serious sins, paying out millions in damages. The Church of Rome has been paying out millions and will continue to do the same, because an organization corrupts itself away from Christianity by jettisoning faith in Christ in favor of power for themselves.

There are many ways to appreciate Matthew 5:20 because the righteousness of the Pharisees is in the basement. That turns on the point Paul taught in short form in Galatians and very thoroughly in Romans.

Using the phrasing above, that means being declared righteous only by faith in Jesus.

Justify is not a difficult word, and we use it all the time in the same sense. "How dare you justify what you have done?" That is making oneself righteous, free of sin, by declaring that to be true.

Or when excuses are made, "Don't justify yourself!"

I cannot tell how many books and articles I have read where they have ignored the plain meaning of this word - and this phrase - used so often - Justification by Faith.

Romans 4 is so clear and plain that synod presidents should have it tattooed on their backs so they never see it, since they reject and defame the Chief Article.

The solution is simple - either
1. We are justified by works of various types, which make us righteous (building chapels, paying for dorms, enlarging libraries). OR
2. We are declared innocent because of the innocence of Jesus Christ, who took on our sins and rose from the dead to show He had conquered sin, death, and the devil on the cross.

Because of time constraints, I am going to explain this rather than writing it out, as I intended originally. (Get me to the church on time.)
