Dear St. Mark Family,
I have never been an early riser all my life. And so for someone like me to be tossing and turning two hours before sunrise, after a fourteen hour work day at St. Mark...well that is worth trying to figure out.

Subject: Sleepless in Barrington (from Bill Hybels)
Dear Enews Family,
I have been an early riser all my life. It goes back to growing up in a family that owned a fresh produce business. But for someone like me to be tossing and turning two hours before sunrise, after a sixteen hour work day at Willow...well that is worth trying to figure out.
Female Worship Leader: Jet lag? Nope. I have been in the same time zone for weeks. Family trouble? Nope. My family still graciously puts up with all my quirks. Anxiety? The world has its share of troubles, and I like many of you, have felt the need to pray more fervently for so many who are suffering. But after reflecting on that for a little while, I knew that wasn't the root cause of my sleeplessness.
Chicaneries: Jet lag? Nope. I have been in the same time zone for weeks. Family trouble? Nope. We recently returned from one of the most enjoyable vacations we have ever had. Anxiety? The world has its share of troubles, and I like many of you, have felt the need to pray more fervently for so many who are suffering. But after reflecting on that for a little while, I knew that wasn't the root cause of my sleeplessness.
Female Worship Leader: Being the seasoned spiritual leader that I am, I finally resorted to a formula that has been a secret embarrassment to me for decades: "When all else fails...turn to God and ask for help." When I quietly breathed a prayer for insight from above, the Spirit whispered, "It is old fashioned excitement, Bill.

Female Worship Leader: You felt it in years past when Holy Week services were filled with a sense of anticipation and wonder and you are feeling it again now. It is a good thing. In fact, why not revel in the fact that you have been doing something for fifteen years and you love it so much that you can't sleep come ‘game day’." Duh.
Chicaneries: You felt it in years past when Good Friday and Easter services were filled with a sense of anticipation and wonder and you are feeling it again now. It is a good thing. In fact, why not revel in the fact that you have been doing something for thirty years and you love it so much that you can't sleep come ‘game day’." Duh.
Female Worship Leader: Last night I prayed for Scott as I knew he would be putting on the finishing touches for the three Maundy Thursday Services. And today I'm contemplating the final rehearsals for our Good Friday services, and felt a sharp pang of sadness that it is not being broadcast all over the world. It was that touching to me. I was completely convinced that any and all who experience it will be moved to tears as I was, and as irresistibly drawn to the Crucified One. The Tenebrae services are at 12:30, 3:30 and 6:30 tomorrow.
Chicaneries: Last night I sat through the final rehearsals for our Good Friday services, and felt a sharp pang of sadness that it is not being broadcast all over the world. It was that touching to me. I was completely convinced that any and all who experience it will be moved to tears as I was, and as irresistibly drawn to the Crucified One. The first service starts tonight at 7:00 p.m. (And then we get to do it three more times on Friday--at 4:00, 6:00, and 8:00 p.m.!)
Female Worship Leader: Earlier in the day John, a few others and I reviewed the Easter message. (Remember we are at West High, 966 Shawano Ave. at 7:30 and 9:30 a.m.) As the group left my office, I sat with John and we grieved over the fact that we would only be having eight Holy Week services! All John and I could talk about was the redemptive potential of the next four days. Who knows what God might do--in how many lives?!
Chicaneries: Earlier in the day God had graciously given my Easter message to me, after which the team and I reviewed the Easter program one final time. As the group left my office, I sat alone for just a moment and grieved over the fact that we would only be able to do it seven times! At the end of my workday Greg Ferguson and I did our typical run, but at a ridiculously fast pace, because all we could talk about was the redemptive potential of the next four days. Who knows what God might do--in how many lives?!
Female Worship Leader: Friends, don't miss anything these next few days. Don't miss private promptings from God regarding what He wants you to reflect on this Holy Week. Don't miss a single opportunity to ask additional friends and family to come with you to the services. Don't miss the teaching moments with young children that this season affords. Miss a little sleep...but don't miss anything else. Deal?

GJ - To show the extent of the plagiarism from Willow Creek, I made the Parlow/Limmer message the female worship leader's words. I repeated the same passages in the EARLIER Hybels email on the same topic. Tis truly amazing how Limmer/Parlow had the same restlessness, the same grieving, the same emotions. Yes, even grief can be plagiarized in the last days of an insane, old world.

This is not something that a Confessional Lutheran wants to read at the break of morning. I ask myself, "What am I doing wrong"? I'm not perfect, but this is in violation of fellowship, worship standards, leadership, and you name it. Why , tell me why, has Parlow been allowed to continue this unionism with Willow Creek and Babtist conferences? I would storm into my pastor's office and give him the "what for". Thanks be to God, my pastor has admonished Hybels during many Bible classes. Female leadership and plagarism, the hallmarks of true Christian Worship! My pastor has been preaching for alomost five decades. He works very hard on his sermons with the aid of the Bible, Hymnal, and The Formula of Concord.
The Baptists have the wrong teaching on Justification. For example, now that you are saved, you must do this or that for Jesus. Just yesterday, my pastor and I had this conversation about the Baptists.
SP Schroeder dealt with Kelm and Stroh. I pray that Parlow repents and changes his ways for his spirit. I cannot imagine the souls in his congregation! Diet O Worms would you please chime in and give the readers some help?

Church Lady,
I used to be a member of Parlow's church. I left to join an actual Lutheran congregation. When I left, I spoke with him to voice several of my concerns with the things he was doing.
His response was straight out of the standard script. I was being legalistic, the music was a matter of taste, blah blah blah.
He also made the point to tout that he had his doctorate in homiletics, so obviously he knew what made a good sermon.
To anonymous from church lady,
Thank you for the response. It must have been a difficult choice to leave a church. The prayers and struggles shape our faith. You did the right thing. It was God's Will.

From a first hand account, what are some of the areas that Pastor Parlow needs correction in? Also, what was his response when you pointed out false doctrine?
No originally or inspiration in these quotes -- just the babbling of a parrot.
Howdy Professor!
If you could write me a one paragraph statement about how Church and Change wants to destroy the Efficacy of the Word I would appreciate it.
I'm going to go down to the C&C conference and pass out fliers. I'd really like to engage some of these folks in conversation and give them a flier with a concise summary on it.
I'd really love to have a group of Confessional WELS folks to join me. I can fit about ten people in my van. Maybe if we don't make a spectacle (will a painted van) people will be more likely to join me.
Email me if you're interested in joining me. My goal is win over our fellow Christians and to fight the Enthusiasm that's infecting the WELS.

It true takes a clever person to complete ignore rule of English languages for commentate
Anon 9:00, you really have a way with words.
Ask Parlow about the destruction he did at St. John's in Baraboo, WI. Maybe that is why he decided to change the direction of his ministry from strict legalist to fluffy pietist. If he tries enough approaches, he may stumble on to the Means of Grace some day.
Thanks to C&C, attendees get to hear what they WANT to hear as opposed to what they NEED to hear.
