The flute descant is a nice touch.

A Watts hymn for a Lutheran church promo?

Don't be so narrow-minded.

I was struck by the size and beauty of the building, contrasted with the decay of the city. I hope they can keep this going and fill it with people, ultimately.

I also thought of the Sancta Sophia, Constantinople. I refuse to use the new name for the city. The church was vandalized and decorated with Muslim symbols after the final battle in 1453. Now it is a museum.

Sorry, hymnody is a pet peeve when we have such a rich Lutheran hymnody. Yes, it is a beautiful church, and I certainly wish no ill on them. I visited Zion-Detroit some time ago after Fenton's departure, and it is the most beautiful church I have ever set foot in. Since my wife is a Detroit girl, we grieve for that city. Thanks to the labor unions, she relocated from Detroit, and we ultimately met.
