is an antidote to synergism and semi-pelagianism.

So we got UOJ from Huber circa 1600. Then Knapp picks it up circa late 1700s. Where was it in the 175-200 years in between?

Brewing in the Abyss, waiting for the perfect moment to hitch a ride to the New World. After all, Satan had already gotten the ball rolling (and how) with regard to ethnic and moral disparity in this 'hemisphere' (cf. the plight of the Indians and slavery, the latter to be superseded by the dissolution of the family, contraception, and abortion), so it was high time to lodge an attack against the orthodox Church as well.

As soon as one takes the focus off of Christ, the trouble begins. The forgiveness of sins and work of the cross are wonderful things. And this is how Satan works his subtleties. Who would deny these wonderful things? Theologians need to speak as the Bible does from an all encompassing perspective that started in the garden of Eden and quit looking at doctrines post Calvary.
