Joel Osteen Hoax Fools CNN, Drudge Report: Televangelist Takes To The Pulpit Sunday, Proving His Imposter Was Wrong [VIDEO] | KpopStarz

I ran the story as satire - the first word in the headline.
An Osteen fan (or a fellow prankster) sent a scorching reply.

Joel Osteen Hoax Fools CNN, Drudge Report: Televangelist Takes To The Pulpit Sunday, Proving His Imposter Was Wrong [VIDEO] | KpopStarz:

A Joel Osteen imposter started an online hoax last week that the televangelist was stepping down as pastor that fooled CNN, the Drudge Report and Yahoo News, according to the Inquistr.
"I believe now that the Bible is a fallible, flawed, highly inconsistent history book that has been altered hundreds of times. There is zero evidence the Bible is the holy word of God," Pastor Osteen was quoted in an article cited as being taken from CNN, but later discovered to be a fake.
Posted to a Wordpress account called Joel Osteen Ministries on April 2, the article looks surprisingly real, complete with phony quotes from apparently invented members of his congregation.

"We'll pray for him. He's come under the influence of the Devil," the article quotes a follower names Margaret Samson as saying. "We will go on. But we need him. We can't do this without him."
If Joel Osteen has stepped down as pastor of the Lakewood Church in Houston, TX, no one seems to have told him that.
On Sunday, the televangelist was in full form as he sermonized from the pulpit.
"It takes the same energy to believe as it does to worry," Osteen said in the April 7 episode of "Super Soul Sunday Presents: Oprah's Lifeclass." "So you get up in the morning and you think, 'Oh, man. I'll never get the right breaks and I've got to go to work and I don't like this job.' It's the same energy to turn it around and say, 'Lord, thank you for the gift of this day. Thank you that I'll meet the right people, thank you that I have the talent, thank you that I'm creative.' Just turn it around. It's the same energy -- just use it in the right direction versus the wrong direction."
