Just so people can find this comic via the search box, here's some keywords: Knapp, UOJ, House of my Fathers, Doctrinal DNA Paternity Test, Matthew Harrison, Walther statue, LCMS HQ
Walther's statue and grave a Goth favorite destination. Here a Goth woman blogs about her trip through the alternative scene in St. Louis, with restaurant food and dowsing and orbs, and about her trip to the Old Concordia Cemetery: http://www.cravescavesandgraves.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
CPH is trying to raise up an army of Walther researchers to defeat the Ichabod cartoons. Can you say Storm Troopers?! How about Clone Army?
After submitting a paper to CPH for an award, the researchers get to network with each other on future research. Hope they all start their studies with Ichabod! See excerpts below.
I notice the MLC scholarly journal has Walther's B-Day wrong. They'd never get away with that in the LCMS!
http://www.studiumexcitare.com/content/64 excerpt: Carl Ferdinand Wilhelm Walther was born on October 20, 1811 in Langenchursdorf, Saxony.
Walther Research Award http://www.cph.org/t-topic-walther.aspx
Authors of other essays selected for publication will receive a copy of the printed volume. The publication will also include the jurors’ list of noteworthy researchers and their research topics so that writers may collaborate for future study.
Lutheran Legacy publishers has stopped publishing Harrisons' "Fathers" book because CPH is picking it up. It's no longer available at Amazon. Perhaps CPH will choose the Doctrinal DNA Paternity Test graphic for the cover?!!
From Facebook:
Matt Harrison Seeking errata: CPH is picking up "At Home in the House of My Fathers" and "A Little Book on Joy." Please send errors you've noted in the books to me at veloescher@aol.com. CPH like stuff to be perfect......... Thanks!
Today, the Walther Mausoleum is cared for by the LCMS International Center. It is in good repair, but our Executive for General Services, David Fiedler, working together with the descendants of Dr. Walther, has established a small endowment fund for future upkeep of the Mausoleum.

Click for the larger version, I recommend. Very funny, and oh so true!
Bruce,
I agree, it floored me. So funny but some UOJers are not laughing.
Nobody has a sense of humor anymore.

This Mercy Journey's blog post by Matthew Harrison reminded me of the Walther statue Icha-cartoon!:
